“Then when there came the first of the two promises (of Divine Punishment), We sent against you servants unto Us who were most powerful in warfare. Then they penetrated the homes. Indeed it was a decree executed.”
(Surah Bani Israaeel, aayat 5)
“When the final promise(of Divine Punishment) came, (it came) so that they could (the kuffaar) disfigure your faces and enter the Musjid (i.e.Musjidul Aqsa)as they had entered the first time, and so that they could utterly destroy whatever they overran.”
(Surah Bani Israaeel, aayat 8)
Masjid ul Aqsa has unwanted ermmm ‘guests’..for want of a better word. Subhan-Allah, the third Holiest Masjid in the Muslim world is in such a state where it is overrun by IDF soldiers.
AT THE DOORS OF AQSA
Now you have seen the snaps of the most current crisis in the Masjid-ul-Aqsa Haram. Without doubt, Aqsa is crying with grief over the affairs, BUT, the question is, what are we doing to reverse the situation.
Here are a few suggestions:
(1) To sincerely make Tawbah (repentance)
Hey! But I haven’t done anything wrong! I hear you say. Well, I don’t know about you, but I am far from perfect. What do I know, a sin I may have committed could be a bullet somewhere in the world. What we see in the world today is certainly a result of our actions. SO let’s make a clean start and make a pact with Allah SWT asking for forgiveness for all our past wrongs.
(2) Making an effort to embody the True, and practical Islam in ourselves
Yep, charity starts at home folks, so let’s treat ourselves to REAL Islam. No more bunking injunctions of Allah SWT. Let us make a concerted effort to follow the Shari’ah in the footsteps of our pristine pure lifestyle of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihe Wasallam.
(3) Make Du’aa for our oppressed Muslim Brothers and sisters
Allah SWT is in complete control of all conditions, so he can surely alleviate them too. We must have unfaltering certitude in this fact. Our sight should not fall on the weaponry, wealth, numbers etc. but in the sheer power and omnipotence of Allah SWT.
We rarely are consistent in making du’aa to Allah everyday. We don’t make lip-service to Du’aa, but should have unfaltering belief that Allah is the only One who can rectify our condition. We should love for our fellow Muslims, what we love for ourselves.
(4) Sit in the company of the ‘Ulamaa
Benefit from their talks and writings.
(5) Assist the Friends of Aqsa
(6) Make a donation to help the needy (Sadaqah)

Education, Education, Education.
It’s the ignorance in the world that reinforces the atrocities that occur daily in the unfortunate realities of many, usually far from our daily slumber and immune reactions. I have friends from Israel that I met in India after they finished national service, I have friends that served in Ireland, a relative serving in Iraq, as with most of the Americans in Afghanistan they are pawns in an offensive they don’t even question, for most the military is a way out of poverty the only chance for a ‘career’.
If there were more education on the real situations, more association with brothers and sisters around the world or over the next border only then would the pawns of these Governments stop killing each other. Only then would ignorance be exchanged for compassion.
When I was younger the Israeli / Palestinian conflict was always confusing to me, I never seemed to know who were on the side of righteousness, never imagined the background and influence of the Western world. Educating yourself is where it starts.
Occupation 101.
