Peace to those on Guidance.
A friend of mine at work gave me this blog, to talk to the world. After many years of procastinating, I finally took the plunge and did the inevitable. Hello World, here I am!
With reference to current affairs, I, and many people were shocked by the clumsy comments of the Pope. Personally, I was not greatly surprised. It hurts to read comments like this especially from a prominent Religious Leader. Perhaps, he should have cited the Spanish Inquisition, maybe this didnt cross his mind at the time – who knows? In any case, our Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings of God be Upon Him) taught us to be responsible Human Beings, spreading Peace to all those around us, benefiting Humankind.
Nonetheless as a benediction (pardon the pun
), let me reproduce the following pertinent article:

Very interesting. I must admmit, I tend to avoid religious debates I have limited knowledge of, but I do agree an apology is in order.
It seems his ‘Advisors’ need to reflect and ponder how this would have been taken if the preverbial shoe were on the other foot.

can I apologise on behalf of the pope he does not speak for most catholic’s .
I know I am one
What I would say is this he is a very old man and does not hold the same political views as his predecessor.
Often as catholic’s we have to endure embarrasment and shame as a result of elders and priests behaving badly so many have feet of clay.We learn to put up with these pronouncements like the owner of an old and rather smelly family pet we have to put up with it though we don’t always agree with what it does or says.I am sure this is the case with other religions.Unfortunately the catholic church once it has elected a pope cannot get rid of him a bit like a corination he is here till he dies no matter how embarrasing that might be.
He was plain wrong about christians not being warmongers look at george w bush and tony blair both claim to be christians and both spending more on bombs ,guns and unnecessary wars than any previous leaders throughout history. What happened to the peace dividend?

Thanks Stephen and Darren,
I agree with you both totally. People at the top, need to do more to advance peace and understanding. The pope isnt brilliant at doing that, but I am sure he will learn from his mistakes.
Thanks again.
